Hello AMHH Supporters!
We hope everyone is enjoying the New Year so far. We have had a great start here at A Mom's Helping Hand so far.  We have some exciting upcoming events coming our way. Our Seek in the City Scavenger Hunt, we are hosting a  Bare Necessities Drive through March 4th, a Savings for the Future Workshop for single parents and How Credit Works Workshop later in March are all events  that flourish with our amazing families and community. We appreciate our community support and know this year will continue to be successful!

A great way to stay up to date with all the fun activities and events going on at AMHH this year is to like us on Facebook , Instagram and follow us on Twitter.

Seek in the City Scavenger Hunt
Attention highly competitive people who think they really know Cape Coral.
From noon to 5 p.m. March 11th teams will use their best detective skills to participate in the first annual Seek in the City Scavenger Hunt.
Teams of up to five people may register at http://www.amomshelpinghandofswfl.com/seek-in-the-city.html for a fee of $50 per team.

Proceeds will benefit A Mom’s Helping Hand of SWFL, a non-profit dedicated to assisting local single parent families and their children.  Funds will help children go back to school prepared with the proper school supplies, toiletry items that are used in the homes daily, and birthday supplies to ensure no child goes without a birthday due to financial hardships of their parents.

Participants will check in at First Baptist Church of Cape Coral where they will be given their list of clues.  We currently have 22 clues and the list can continue to grow as we add more businesses as clue stops and additional landmarks.  The entire city of Cape Coral will be transformed into one big board game.

Clues can include fun facts or details about anything from restaurants to shops to local art.

The idea behind this fundraiser is to help business while helping local families in our community.  What a better way to do that through a fun activity that the entire family can participate in.

Businesses can also use this as a great team building activity.
The first place team will go home with a $200 cash prize.  We will also have trophies and medallions for the second and third place teams.

Event Date: Saturday, March 11, 2017

Event Time:  12 p.m. - 5 p.m.
Location: Check in at First Baptist Church of Cape Coral
Registration: http://www.amomshelpinghandofswfl.com/seek-in-the-city.html

Saving for the Future
Saving money (and keeping it saved) doesn’t happen by accident. Successful saving requires a plan, including paying yourself first. What are you saving for? Where do you see yourself in five years? Ten years? Twenty years? Do you want to purchase a new home? Save for your child’s college tuition? Travel in retirement? Come out and see how Lenny Cannova, Modern Woodmen of America can help.

Many American's, not just single parents have or will be filling their taxes. This is the best time to find out what you can do to build a better future for you and your children.

If you are a single parent then this is a workshop you don't want to miss. If this is your first time coming to one of our events, please register online at: http://www.amomshelpinghandofswfl.com/events.html
