Is A Mom's Helping Hand of SWFL a 501(c)3 charity?
We received our 501(c)3 status in February of 2015. Our EIN number is #47-2650792. We are eligible to receive your tax deductible donation to the extent allowed by law.
How are you funded?
We are primarily funded through our fundraisers. We do not receive any grants or gifts from private organizations. We receive gifts from individuals occasionally. As funding is very limited, we welcome all donations. We welcome all third party fundraiser on our behalf.
Why don't we see more pictures of the moms and children?
Our moms and children are precious to us. We want to do all that we can do to maintain the privacy of the members of AMHH. While a few pictures will appear from time to time on our website, Facebook page and other social media accounts, some moms are in situations that would put them or their children in danger to have their pictures published.
How many families do we serve?
AMHH is a unique program. We are a membership based organization and our membership numbers can fluctuate due to non compliance with program guidelines or once a member is no longer a single parent. Our members must meet certain qualifications and regularly attend meetings and events.

All board members are volunteers and unpaid. We do not have any paid staff members. We always welcome volunteers. While office volunteers are limited, we do have needs in the following areas:

- Be living a single lifestyle with no significant other living in the home
- Live in Lee county and surrounding area.
- Have child(ren) under 18 years old and living in the same home as participant
- Must attend at least two support group meeting each quarter
- Must volunteer 3 hours each quarter to help with fundraisers or in the office
- Must have an in home interview
