Preparing your family's Christmas profile is an important part of the SWFL Santas program.
This page provides helpful guidelines and a fictional example of how to share your family's story, interests, clothing sizes, and Christmas gift suggestions.
Our goal is to help every family create a thoughtful, realistic profile that gives potential donors the information they need to select meaningful gifts.
Preparing Your Family Christmas Profile
Before completing your Family Christmas Profile, take some time to gather the information needed for each family member.
Please be prepared to provide:
- A short family biography describing your family, interests, and circumstances.
- The age and gender of each family member.
- Accurate clothing, pajama, coat, and shoe sizes.
- Favorite colors, characters, hobbies, activities, and personal interests.
- Three to four realistic gift suggestions for each child.
- Two to three realistic gift suggestions for mom.
- A few reasonable household needs or family gift ideas, if applicable.
Helpful reminder: The more complete and thoughtful your profile is, the easier it is for a donor to select gifts that your family will truly enjoy.

How Our Amazon Wishlists Work
Families provide their gift suggestions, clothing sizes, interests, and other requested information through the Family Christmas Profile.
Once the information has been reviewed, our team creates the Amazon wishlist through A Mom's Helping Hand of SWFL's organizational account.
This helps protect the privacy of both our families and donors while keeping the adoption process organized.
Families do not need to create their own Amazon wishlist.
Please provide clear descriptions of your gift suggestions so our team can identify appropriate items when preparing your family's wishlist.

Remember: A wishlist provides gift ideas for donors. It is not a list of items donors are expected to purchase in full.
Donors choose gifts based on their individual budgets and preferences.
Important Wishlist Guidelines
To help our team prepare appropriate family profiles and encourage successful donor adoptions, please follow these guidelines.
- Provide three to four realistic gift suggestions for each child.
- Limit adult gift suggestions to two or three items.
- Include accurate clothing and shoe sizes.
- Share interests, hobbies, favorite colors, and other helpful details.
- Choose reasonably priced items that donors can realistically provide.
- Avoid excessive or expensive gift requests.
- Do not include gifts for unborn children or pets.
- Complete all requested information for every eligible family member.
Items That Are Not Permitted
SWFL Santas is a Christmas gift assistance program, not a financial assistance program.
Requests should not include:
- Rent or mortgage payments
- Utility or other bill payments
- Home repairs
- Cell phone plans or monthly service bills
- Gym memberships
- Travel expenses
- Gifts for unborn children or pets
Please keep your wishlist realistic.
Our goal is to help every approved family have the best possible opportunity to be adopted.
Wishlists that do not follow program guidelines may require revisions before they can be shared with potential donors.
Why Realistic Wishlists Matter
SWFL Santas is made possible by generous individuals, families, and businesses who voluntarily adopt participating families.
Some donors adopt one family, while others may choose to help several.
Providing thoughtful, affordable gift suggestions helps donors feel confident that they can make a meaningful difference.
Although we work hard to find a donor for every approved family, adoption is not guaranteed.
Our priority is helping as many eligible families as possible experience the joy of Christmas.
