SWFL Santa's 2026 Family Assistance
The SWFL Santa's program through A Mom's Helping Hand of SWFL connects local single-parent families in need with generous community members who want to help make Christmas a little brighter.
Because we receive more requests than we are able to serve, completing an application does not guarantee acceptance or adoption. All families must complete each required step and meet program eligibility requirements before being approved.
2026 Application Dates
Online applications will be accepted September 7–19, 2026.
Applications must be submitted by 11:59 PM on September 19. Late applications will not be accepted.

Eligibility Requirements
SWFL Santas provides Christmas assistance to local single-parent families experiencing financial need.

- You must be a single-parent household.
- Children must be 18 years old or younger.
- Children ages 19–21 may qualify only if they are actively enrolled in college. Proof of current college enrollment will be required.
- Your household must demonstrate financial need.
- You must complete the online application process by all required deadlines.
- If selected to advance, you must attend the required in-person intake and document verification on October 10, 2026.
- All required documentation must be provided at the intake. There are no make-up dates and missing documents cannot be submitted afterward.
How the Application Process Works
STEP 1 – FAMILY ASSISTANCE APPLICATION
Complete the online application below. Please answer all questions completely and honestly. Incomplete applications may not be considered.
Applications will be reviewed after the application period closes. Families selected to continue will receive an email with their unique SWFL Santa's Application Number and instructions for Step 2.
STEP 2 – FAMILY CHRISTMAS PROFILE
Selected families will be invited to complete a more detailed Family Christmas Profile, including information about each family member, interests, clothing sizes, needs and Christmas wish lists.
Family Christmas Profiles must be completed by Friday, October 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM.
Moving to Step 2 does not mean your family has been accepted into the SWFL Santa's program.
STEP 3 – IN-PERSON INTAKE & DOCUMENT VERIFICATION
Families selected to advance will be invited to a required in-person intake and document verification on:

There are no make-up intake dates. All required documentation must be presented at your scheduled intake. Missing documents cannot be submitted after October 10.

Families must notify us if their circumstances change during the application or adoption process.
If your family is adopted through SWFL Santa's, you may not receive Christmas assistance from another organization for the same holiday season.

Acceptance into SWFL Santa's is dependent upon meeting all program requirements and is at the discretion of A Mom's Helping Hand of SWFL.
Approval into the program does not guarantee adoption. Santa's select the family they wish to adopt, and while we work very hard to find Santa's for every approved family, we cannot guarantee that every family will be selected.

- Photo ID of the parent/guardian
- Proof of ALL household income — including paycheck stubs, unemployment/EDD, SSI, child support, pensions, veteran benefits, WIC, SNAP, TANF/AFDC or other household income. Documents MUST show the dollar amount received.
- Birth certificate and/or custody papers for each child
- Proof of address — electric bill, water bill, rental agreement or mortgage documentation
