💛 About A Mom’s Helping Hand of SWFL

Supporting Single Mothers. Strengthening Families. Building Community.

A Mom’s Helping Hand of SWFL is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering single mothers throughout Southwest Florida. Our mission is to provide support, emotional encouragement, and assistance with necessities — helping families navigate temporary challenges through education, resources, and life skills training.

We believe that when a mother is supported, an entire family has the opportunity to grow stronger.

🌿 Our Story

A Mom’s Helping Hand of SWFL was founded with a simple but powerful purpose — to ensure that single mothers never have to face difficult seasons alone.

What began as a grassroots effort rooted in compassion has grown into a community-driven organization offering support groups, educational programs, and direct assistance to families in need. Through collaboration with local volunteers, businesses, and partners, we continue to expand opportunities that empower mothers while strengthening the community as a whole.

Our work is built on the belief that support should uplift, not overwhelm — and that small acts of kindness can create lasting change.

⭐ Founder’s Message

A message from our Founder & President

“Single motherhood comes with unique challenges, but it also comes with incredible strength. A Mom’s Helping Hand of SWFL was created to provide encouragement, practical resources, and a supportive community where moms feel seen, valued, and empowered.

Our goal is not just to meet immediate needs, but to help families build confidence and stability for the future. Every meeting, every class, and every act of support is rooted in the belief that no mom should have to walk her journey alone.”

📚 Our Mission

To empower single mothers in Southwest Florida by providing support, education, resources, and encouragement that helps families overcome temporary challenges and build a stronger future.

💛 What We Do

We focus on practical, meaningful support that creates real change:

🤝 Support & Encouragement

Monthly support group meetings provide a safe, welcoming environment where single moms can connect, share experiences, and find community.

📚 Education & Life Skills

Our classes and workshops — including our 7-week budgeting course — help families build confidence and stability through practical tools and learning opportunities.

🎄 SWFL Santa’s Program

Since 2015, our SWFL Santa’s Program has matched local single-parent families with generous donors to provide toys, clothing, and essential items during the holidays — helping reduce financial stress and bring joy to children.

🌟 Our Vision

We envision a community where single mothers feel supported, empowered, and equipped with the tools they need to thrive — not just survive.

🤲 A Community Effort

Everything we do is made possible through the generosity of volunteers, donors, and community partners who share our passion for strengthening families in Southwest Florida.

Together, we are creating breathing room, hope, and opportunity — one family at a time.
